My client is a University in South east London area. You will be reporting to the Facilities Management office team. You will be responsible to deliver the essential services that keep the University’s buildings and facilities operational.

Location is Avery Hill Campus, to work at Woolwich and Bathway sometimes.

Main Activities and Duties

  • To be responsible for the day to day running of plant and equipment on site.
  • To monitor and report the efficiency and status of this equipment.
  • Carry out statutory testing for Legionella and descale shower heads in Village and

throughout Campus.

  • Driving of University vehicles to collect (may be off Campus), offload and transport delivery

of goods and equipment for works within the Office to various locations.

  • Removal of redundant FM Office materials to skip or other location.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of workshop areas, plant rooms
  • Assist in the transportation, erection and dismantling of portable scaffolding or other

equipment as required.

  • Undertake work at height using ladders, scaffolding or other equipment as required.
  • Maintain good relationships with staff, students and visitors.

Do you have a basic understanding of boilers, pumps and controls?

Can you carry out general building works including but not exclusively, glazing, painting, cutting away, drilling, making good and PPM works?

Are you a handyman and work on mutliple tasks minor repairs?

Have you got Heath and Safety?

Do you have basic IT Skills?
