Do you have knowledge and understanding of issues faced by disabled people? Do you have excellent communication, IT and ICT skills?

We have an interesting opportunity for you to join our client as Personal Assistant. This is 8 to 9 months temporary assignment paying £13 per hour depending on you experience. You will assist the CEO to work towards an equal society for every person who has a disability and empower disabled people to have a local, national and international voice.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will assist to develop client in its work with disabled people and to achieve its aims and objectives and secure more resources to expand its services and the ability to support more disabled people.
  • You will assist with campaigning and lobbying together with other disability groups for the removal of barriers faced by disabled people in the wider society and for any other relevant issues for which solidarity is needed for shared causes.
  • You will assist the Joint CEO to undertake regular evaluation of client’s work and use the findings to improve the future developments.

Key requirements:

  • You must understand the value of enabling disabled people to participate in spheres of mainstream society and supporting them to become contributing members of society.
  • You must understand local and national policies relating to disabled people, their Carers and families.
  • You must be educated to a degree level and have excellent communication skills and excellent IT and ICT skills to include Microsoft office, CRM cloud technology, social media and other computer applications.
  • Ability to speak Hindi/Urdu will be an advantage.
