Systems/Assurance and Development Officer

Hours: Full time with flexibility = 35 hours per week

The role will be based on a temporary basis, however as the role will involve training it will be likely to be extended until October 2019 (possibly transferring to a perm contract). The pay rate will be up to £22 per hour depending on experience, working Monday to Friday.

The Systems/Assurance and Development Officer monitors the Department’s performance against the standards and objectives. You will promote compliance and improvement while providing assurance to the processes and systems. The role is responsible for planning, co-ordinating and delivering a range of projects and initiatives which may be high profile and high impact as well as representing the company at external meetings, sharing knowledge and best practice within the forum.

The role requires someone that is quite technical and has system knowledge, particularly:

  • Reporting
  • Data analysis
  • Monitoring compliance
  • System development
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • SQL experience would be desirable

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Delivers employee training on use of core business systems and reporting
  • Contributes to formal project documentation and processes including Business Cases, Project Initiation Documentations and User Acceptance Testing
  • Maintains and updates existing reporting tools, ensuring they are suitable for business needs, using appropriate tools such as SQL and SharePoint.
  • Assists in production of external facing policies, annual reports or information on the website

The ideal person will have business analyst skills and also experience working in a “case management” environment, e.g. another regulator, complaint cases, insurance claims or legal cases
