Contracts Administrator (In Education)

 Salary from £27,252 to £31,035 per annum

As the Contracts Administrator you will be responsible for supporting and acting as the primary contact and subject matter expert for all contract-related activities

for the Information & Technology Services (ITS) Directorate. You will have proven work experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Manager or relevant role

with abroad and demonstrable knowledge and working experience of drafting contracts to a high standard.

Experience/Skills required:

  • Managing the implementation and delivery of contracts for ITS, controlling costs whilst driving service excellence.
  • Provide contract assistance and support to colleagues and liaise with the Procurement team and Governance to ensure contracts meet all legal requirements and risks are mitigated on behalf of the University and its stakeholders.
  • Mitigate risks to gain increased value from its vendors throughout the contract life cycle
  • Work with Heads and Team Leads to ensure that issues and lessons learnt are built into future procurement projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of each stage of the contract negotiations, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of all matters being dealt with so that there is a clear audit trail for each contract.
  • Undertake supplier relationship management for strategically important contracts through regular reviews with supplier account managers.
  • Be responsible for implementing contracts, supplier relationship management and, when appropriate, closing contracts.
  • Proactively arrange and action contract review meetings with suppliers to ensure contract compliance and maintain excellent supplier relationships.
