My Client is a University in the heart of London and are currently looking for a Laboratory Attendant. You could be multi tasking, working in a team, and responsible to Media/ Wash Room Supervisor.

The role is full-time job (7 hours/day,  9 am-5 pm with 1 hour break).

Hourly rate is £11.96

Contract for one month with high possibility of extension for the right candidate.

Immediate Start.

Typical Task will be:-

  • Collection, washing-up and sterilization of laboratory glassware.
  • Preparing clean, sterile, plugged glass pipettes for use by the scientists.
  • Preparation of sterile and non-sterile media for use in the laboratories involving the use of simple laboratory equipment such as the autoclave machine, balances, filtration equipment, etc.
  • Sorting and delivering laboratory consumables, glassware, media etc to the laboratories as per stores requisitions.
  • Weekly cleaning/maintenance of the X-ray film developers.
  • Disposal of biological and glass/sharps waste.
  • Responsible for providing the tea/coffee services and filling liquid nitrogen tanks in the absence of the relevant personnel.
  • Weekly collection of fly food from Biology Department and delivery to Pichaud Laboratory.
  • Helping the Stores Officer to tidy up Stores deliveries.
  • Any other duties allocated by the Media/Wash Room supervisor.
