My client is a health sector in the heart of London looking for a self starter who is able to work remotely, building relationships outside of the standard office environment. You will work within the Governance and Assurance Team to provide the CCG with effective and efficient delivery of governance and support business continuity processes for the organisation.This specialist role will support the CCG in meeting the governance and assurance challenges of the new Integrated Commissioning approach the CCG is developing in partnership with London Borough of Hackney and the City of London Corporation. It will similarly assist the CCG in assimilating any changes to its governance and assurance systems as result of health sector organisational development at North East London level.

It is the personal responsibility of the job holder to provide managerial and administrative support to CCG Committees including:

  • Planning and booking of meetings;
  • Ensuring members, attendees and presenters are invited to meetings;
  • Planning and preparation of agendas;
  • Collection and collation of papers;
  • Production of minutes;
  • Coordinating agreed follow-up actions.

In relation to tasks and responsibilities delegated by the Head of Governance and Assurance, the role holder will undertake and support on the following areas of work:

  • Corporate Governance
  • Business Planning
  • Board Assurance Framework and Risk Management
  • Services to CCG Committees
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • Emergency Planning and Resilience

Other responsibilities

In addition to all the duties and responsibilities listed above, the job-holder will undertake any delegated tasks/projects commensurate with the role and/or banding of the post. This will include, but is not restricted to:

  • Project Managing or supporting the production of the CCG Annual Report;
  • Supporting and advising the Senior Information Responsible Owner (SIRO) in relation to GDPR and Information governance matters, liaising with the appointed Specialist Information Governance Officer;
  • Supporting the management of the 360o Stakeholder Survey in conjunctions with the Communications Officer;
  • Supporting the relationship between the Organisation and its Internal and External Auditors.

Education / Knowledge/ Experience

  • Substantial knowledge of health sector corporate governance.
  • Degree or equivalent level of work experience.
  • Understanding of Committee procedure.
  • knowledge of Policy Management.
  • Strong understanding of risk and risk management within a relevant context.
  • Understanding and appreciation of the management of conflicts of interest in CCGs.
  • Experience of working within the health sector, or equivalent type of organisation.
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in partnership working with colleagues and stakeholders from other organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in a senior Corporate Governance role.
