An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Apprentice Medical Secretary with the NHS.  You will be working directly with the Business Delivery Manager and in close liaison with consultants and their team.

To succeed in the role you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills face to face,  IT and administrative skills as well as attention to details.

Duties will include but not limited to audio typing of clinic letters, or by use of Dictate IT Transcribing service, all non-clinical correspondence and reports, discharge summaries, transfer and death summaries; arranging clinic appointments; obtaining test results.

Requesting and collecting medical records, diagnostic test results and maintaining an accurate record of medical records booked out.

On the programme you will  work towards achieving a Customer Service Practitioner (Level 2) Apprenticeship.  There is also a comprehensive workplace training programme to support you develop and extend your skills and compliment your on-the-job learning.

The role is paying £6.50 per hour raising to £7.57 per hour after passing probation.
