Data/Systems Administrator (Education)

Our client is looking to recruit a System Officer to assist in the maintenance and development of the Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint system and other internal information systems used to support the work of the Education Team.

You will assist the Education Team in meeting its legal and policy obligations in relation to information security, disclosure, maintenance and retention.

To produce management information and reports to aid the management of the department’s resources and performance.

Responsibilities will include

Systems and Business Processes

To assist in the implementation and maintenance the Education Department’s Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint system, including the following areas – business processes; data; communication channels; user and security profiles; training, integrations with other systems, and testing.

To produce, review and update guidance notes and process documents to support the work of the Department.

To assist in the delivery of wide projects relevant to the Education Department

Management Data and Information

To produce, review and update written and numerical reports to support the work of the Department, ensuring they are appropriate, accessible and timely.

To provide accurate and meaningful data and analysis to colleagues to support the work of the Education Department and ensuring the information is in the most appropriate format.

To handle programme data, freedom of information and subject access requests made with regards to the functions of the Education Department in a timely manner, taking account of statutory timeframes.

To liaise with the Education Manager (Systems) and the Governance Department in relation to data, information and feedback processes and timeframes for response.

To assist in the development and implementation of the Education Department’s schemes including equality and diversity, risk management, quality management, business continuity, and information security.

Communications and Stakeholder Management

To handle stakeholder feedback about the functions of the Education Department in a timely manner, ensuring a high level of customer service and taking account of policy timeframes.

To assist in the induction and training of colleagues, primarily related to the use of the information systems within the Education Department.

To contribute to the development and continual improvement of the team and work of the Education Department.

To identify opportunities for development and continual improvement and discuss them with the Education Manager (Systems).
