£25,000 – £27,000 Basic, Plus Uncapped Quarterly Commission

We are currently seeking a Recruitment Consultant to develop and manage the 360 recruitment lifecycle for a large consortium of clients we have recently won. Whilst you will initially benefit from this ‘warm’ customer base, we are additionally looking for an outstanding sales person who has the drive and confidence to actively business develop not only within the existing client portfolio but to open new doors and secure new business outside of that at every opportunity. This isn’t however all about ‘cold calling’, instead this is about delivering a consultative sales approach to your customers whilst at the same time ensuring all sales opportunities are continuously maximised to generate further revenue.

We are ultimately looking for someone hungry for success, who thrives off meeting targets, who has a positive and high energy and will constantly go the extra mile to meet the needs of our customers and our business whilst constantly adhering to, and promoting Step Ahead’s values.

Key Responsibilities;

  • The ability to build relationships and develop an existing customer base
  • Self-motivated to generate new business through cold sales calls
  • Positively promote and grow the Step Ahead brand
  • Prioritise business opportunities correctly
  • Develop relationships with clients to ensure repeat business secured
  • Consistent telephone contact
  • Set up and conduct effective meetings
  • Proactively seek service reviews
  • Consistently meet set deadlines and targets
  • Develop specialist knowledge of chosen sector
  • Build excellent relationships with both external and internal customers at all levels
  • Take ownership of candidate pool generation through; targeted advertising and networking through LinkedIn and other relevant professional media sources; monitoring job boards; generating referrals; headhunting
  • Administrative compliance – effectively registering candidates to build candidate database
  • Ensure that all aspects of candidate care, both prior to and post placement, are delivered to Step Ahead’s standards – ensuring continuity of communication
  • Fully utilise Step Ahead’s internal CRM system to promote best practice and to maximise performance
  • Clear, positive and kind communication with your colleagues throughout the business

Essential Personal Attributes;

  • Minimum 1 year as a Recruitment Consultant or commercial sales
