My Client is a University in the heart of London and are currently looking for an AV and IT Support Officer. You will be working in the Department: IT Service Delivery, Customer Operations, Learning and Teaching Spaces Operations. You will form part of a medium sized team and will be expected to work within virtual teams and provide support across other parts of the ISD.

You are required to work for either one of the Shifts:- 8.30 am to 10.30 am or 10:30 am to 2:30 pm

5 days a week. Contract for 2 – 4 month with high possibility of extension for the right candidates

 

·         Have you got problem solving skills including an ability to diagnose complex hardware and software faults?
·         Are you excellent communication skills and able to work under pressure and are  professional and supportive towards colleagues, staff, students and others?

·         Do you have experience in using fault logging system, manual handling regulations, network switches, patching and Wireless networks, lecture capture technologies like Echo 360, Crestron & Extron products?

 

Do you possess deep and broad understanding of ITIL and knowledge in the following areas

  • Audio Visual fundamentals – Signal processing, switching, distribution. Fundamentals of cabling conventions, standards and their applications
  • Knowledge of Video Conferencing, IT hardware including laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Managed Desktop Services using Active Directory, Microsoft Windows, SCCM, Appsense and Ivanti and Operating system support for Windows 10 and OSX

 

Duties and Responsibilities:-

Provide 2nd line remote technical support for managed IT/AV/VC/Networking hardware and software

  • Write, maintain and review customer procedural documentation, wiring schematics, manuals and user guides for AV, IT, networking and Video Conferencing equipment
  • Configure and install AV, IT and networking devices
  • Undertake desk-side customer support – Resolving desk-side incidents & hardware problems which cannot be addressed remotely. Collecting & returning hardware and peripherals to customers. Providing escalated in-person support to VIP customers
  • Support and service of assigned zones
  • Providing remote and in-person management & support for IT, AV, Video Conferencing, networking and other learning and teaching technologies
