About Your Pay

For details on when and how you will be paid, your payslip and overtime, read the information below…

When will I be paid?

Payment is made one week in arrears, subject to our having received an approved timesheet by our payroll deadline. Subject to that condition being met, we will pay you for the hours worked in your assignment on the Friday following the end of the week in which you worked. It is your responsibility to ensure that your timesheet is submitted and authorised on time.

How Do I Get My Payslip?

As long as your timesheet was authorised on time (so that we have wages to pay you), your payslip is emailed to you every Wednesday afternoon. Always check your payslip on receipt. We sometimes include important messages, including letting you know of early deadlines for timesheet submission around certain public holidays.

Do I get paid overtime?

Each organisation has different rules regarding the payment of enhanced rates for overtime. Please discuss the specific arrangements for overtime in any current assignment with your Step Ahead Consultant.

Am I entitled to sick pay?

Provided that certain conditions are met, you will be entitled to statutory sick pay. For further details about Sickness Absence and Sick Pay, follow this link to find out more.

What holiday pay am I entitled to?

All flexible employees are able to accrue the equivalent of 5.6 weeks paid leave within a single holiday year, pro-rata to the days and hours worked and month’s service in the holiday year. For a 5 day working week, this equates to 28 days per annum (5 days x 5.6 weeks).
You may accrue an additional entitlement if you have sufficient continuous service to qualify for contractual enhanced leave and, in certain circumstances, may also qualify for additional leave after a certain period in assignment under the Agency Workers Regulations.
