Temp of the Month

Working for the London Transport Museum over the summer, Alex impressed his manager – Nadia Adira (pictured left) – not only with his personable manner and the great technical skills he demonstrated in showing others how to use the ticketing system, but how readily he went the extra mile. "Alex is an extremely hard working individual and quick to deal with any situation presented to him. Nothing is ever too much to ask – who else would stand in the rain for over an hour so that visitors get information while they wait?!"

Pleased but surprised, Alex thanked all his colleagues for making his time at the museum so enjoyable and told us that `Honestly, my time with the Museum has been one of the best working experiences I’ve ever had’

Well done to Michelle Edwards whose highly effective work for Islington Council has won her our Temp of the Month Award for March 2012.  Giving her a perfect score, her manager recommended her as an excellent worker, skilled in many areas, forthcoming, helpful, reliable and highly valued by her team. Julie Ndukuba, Administration Manager, adds that `The award is well deserved.     Michelle is a meticulous worker, very professional, and takes her work seriously’.

Mitch Carney visited Michelle to present her award and thank her for representing us so positively.      Michelle tells us `This is a great place to work.  I enjoy the variety and a good relationship with my colleagues.'

Congratulations to Chris Kerr (centre in our picture) who won our Temp of the Month Award for February 2012 after being recommended by his line manager at the British Library – Primrose Smith (left).  As well as being reliable with excellent time-keeping, Primrose told us that `Chris gets on well with colleagues, is good at multi-tasking and uses common-sense and initiative to meet tight deadlines’.  

Chris was happy to receive his award from Mitch Carney (right) on our recent visit and says `Thank you to Primrose and to Step Ahead for giving me this opportunity’.
